Deer, Elk, and Agriculture
This project with the University of Idaho aims to develop management tools to modify white-tailed deer and elk behavior in areas with valuable private agriculture.
We’re examining white-tailed deer and elk responses to treatments designed to make them perceive agriculture fields as unsafe places to be, treatments that attempt to physically prevent them from entering an agriculture field, and treatments that discourage them from eating the crops themselves.
