Are hunters required to remove tree stands at the end of the season when the tree stand is on public lands, or may they be left year round.

This is a land managment agency question. If the public land is Forest Service/BLM, I would contact them to clarify, but they would probably consider any treestand left in the forest after the hunting season as abandoned property.
