The question as to why a camera cannot be mounted on a bow has come up several times in the "Ask F&G" forum and phone calls. In fact, last year i contacted a F&G manager and he said that is something that they should look into for 2014 rules. A small POV type camera or even a cell phone camera mounted to a bow for the purpose of documenting the hunt and to share with friends and family in no way is an advantage to the hunter. This should be allowed. Future F&G rules need to be changed to at least allow this exception to the rule.
Thank you.
Answer:
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game Commission is not considering this proposal at this time.
The Commission is interested in reviewing technology at a date to be determined.
