Why is there no state record for blue catfish?

We keep big fish records (as determined by weight) for fish that are commonly caught by anglers in Idaho.  We have added species to the list over the years based on expanding populations or increasing angler interest. If you catch a blue catfish, fill out the record fish form on our website and submit the information.  We can't guarantee it will be added to the list, but we will consider it for listing.
