I would like to take my kids on their first pheasant hunt to one of the WMAs where we should be able to find a farm-raised bird. Do they need the $21.50 permit?

Answer:
If the kids are under 17, they do not need the permit, but they do need a license. If they are age 17 or older, they are subject to the same limits and rules and must have a valid hunting license and the $21.50 permit.
