This course is required to trap wolves
Anyone intending to trap wolves must attend wolf trapper education prior to purchasing wolf trapping tags. Anyone intending to trap wolves that did not hold an Idaho trapping license prior to 2011 is required to take both trapper and wolf-trapper education.
- This 8 hour course provides students with interactive, hands-on training from experienced, certified, volunteer trapper instructors.
- Course curriculum includes wolf management; wolf trapping regulations and ethics; wolf habits and behavior; making, rigging and setting traps and snares; proper care for a wolf; reporting requirements.
- Cost is $8.00 per student (online registration includes an additional convenience fee of $1.75).
