Please note: The quantity and quality of data collected by the Idaho Department of Fish and
Game (IDFG)
are dependent on the research and observations of many individuals and organizations. In most cases, these data
are
not the result of comprehensive or site-specific field surveys; many natural areas in Idaho have never been
thoroughly
surveyed. For these reasons, IDFG cannot provide a definitive statement on the presence, absence, or condition
of
biological elements in any part of Idaho. IDFG reports summarize the existing information known to the IDFG at
the
time of the request regarding the biological elements or locations in question. They should never be regarded
as
final statements on the elements or areas being considered, nor should they be substituted for on-site surveys
required
for environmental assessments.

The Idaho Conservation Planner is intended to provide useful and
non-regulatory information
to you, the User, during early planning stages of development projects,
conservation
opportunities, and environmental review.
The Idaho Conservation Planner is not intended to replace consulation with
IDFG Staff.
In cases where federally threatened or endangered species occur, the Idaho
Conservation
Planner does not replace a federal consulation under the Endangered Species
Act.
Data layers were generated using actual species observations and/or
predictive models.
Models predict if a species might occur in areas based upon
characteristics
of the landscape. Users of these data acknowledge that models may not
accurately
represent the landscape and may incorrectly predict species presence or
absence.
IDFG assumes no responsibility for the suitability fo these data for a
particular
purpose. IDFG will not be liable for any damages incurred as a result of
errors
in these data.
