Species Account:
Brown in color, Doe about 200lbs. My wife saw the a small herd off the left side of the road and said Deer. I was scanning to see where they were and didn't see any in front of us and lightly pressed the brake. A split second after she said Deer, the Deer ran into the side of our car. Deer came running across the highway on banks to Lowman. It was about a 1/4 mile east of the hot springs campground. We didn't see the deer. it ran across the highway and hit the side of my Yukon. The side hit my mirror and the and the neck and head smacked my windshield. the side of the car is damaged and the windshield broke. I think the Deer was trying to jump and that is why it hit so high on the body. The deer died within a minute of impact. We were traveling at approx. 35-40 miles per hour.
