Species Account:
We live off East Highway 52, north east of Emmett. We discovered the injured deer in our pasture this morning about 8am. After talking to local Fish & Game Agent, Josh Leal, I dispatched the animal and proceeded to skin & gut the deer. From wounds on the right side and right hind side and left shoulder I determined it had been hit by a car and then traveled to our pasture and laid down. The area around the deer was trampled as if he had thrashed around for a while. I am a hunter and know this is a buck mule deer (forked horn). I have taken pictures of the deer before dispatch and after skinning him out.
