Species Account:
Button buck, crossing highway 20 in the dark about 7:30 at night on October 27, 2020. Came around the corner and two deer were in the highway, swerved to avoid both deer, the one to the right ran back across in front of the vehicle before we could stop and ultimately hit the deer. Stopped and went back to check on it, it was lying on the shoulder next to the cement piling for the road corner. Dispatched the deer to put it out of it's misery, as it was crying and could not get up. Both back legs and hip was broken, bleeding out it's rectum. Color is brownish gray, approximately 75 lbs animals live weight,
