Species Account:
Brown deer with white tail. Based on size, she'd be around 2 years old. We were driving north on US 95 when we saw a deer laying on the side of the road just before mm 491. As we were passing, the tail flicked up. We turned around and saw the doe still lying on her side with blood draining from her rectum. She could only move her back left leg. Even after moving her further off the shoulder, she couldn't move. We waited 10 minutes with no recovery. We called the sheriff office and received permission to dispatch her and salvage.
