Species Account:
It was brown moose about 850 pounds, antlers/spoons were found by the crash sight. I was driving down US 20 on Monday September 28th around 10:00 PM when a moose walked out in from of my Ford Escape and totaled it. Blaine county Sheriff Deputy Greg Baker showed up to the scene about 15 minutes after the accident, shortly followed by one of his friends who had intentions of taking the moose. My boyfriend was on his way from Arco to get me and load up the moose. The Deputy and his friend went out and found the antlers and took them with out my permission. Since it was late at night and the Deputy would not stay to give us assistance with his lights, we were only able to get the back stop and left the remains on the side of the road.
