Species Account:
The animal was a grey color and very large..a Mature Mule Deer buck.. My friend and I were on a Canoe yesterday Dec. 13th when I spotted some bird's on the right side of the Clearwater River pecking on a dead animal. I then told my friend lets go have a look and came up on a mule deer buck dead on the side of the river. My guess would be that he was struck by a car and then proceeded down to the river. There was still a lot of blood in the cavity of the dead deer. Look like it was 2 to 3 days old. Mile marker 308 on HWY 95 on the side of the clearwater river is where this animal was located.
