Species Account:
Found an emaciated carcass (it likely had been picked apart by a scavenger; perhaps a Common Raven) near mile marker 5 on the east side of Airbase Road (Idaho highway 67) between the city of Mountain Home and Mountain Home Air Force Base. I was bicycling on the highway shoulder on June 23 when I found the carcass. This is the third road-killed Barn Owl I have found in this area since moving here four years ago.
