Species Account:
Winter coat moose, kinda patchy. Probably a year and a half old maybe two. I was coming home from work and seen her laying in the road. Seen a patch of hair next to her and knew she was hit. Broken right rear leg and somehow broke vertebrae in her neck but was still alive. Called the Bonner County sheriff department and they told me someone else had also called it in and they were sending a guy out. Talked to the officer, told him I lived up the road and he asked if I wanted to salvage it and I said yeah just let me run up and get my truck. So he stayed with the moose until I returned and went on his way.
