Species Account:
The deer was in the road as I was driving. I slowed down, beeped my horn, and flashed my lights. She turned around to run but the road was to slippery and icy. She was trying to run but couldn't and I was trying to stop and slid into her. I pulled over to see if she was dead and she wasn't. Her hind leg was mangled and she couldn't get up to run even though she was trying to. I shot her with my 9MM to end her suffering. This happened south of Tensed around 1930. About a half mile up the road the Tensed fire dept was working a traffic accident.
