Species Account:
Medium size, about 10 pounds, brown and gray. 1 flexible horn on the nose. Guy in P-U ran it over when it crossed in front of him. Ran over neck and leg. I saw it happen so I drove over, the man was gone, but cars were starting to stop and look. So I put the turkey in the back of the P-U to salvage it. Neck injuries and leg was broke. Possible single lung injury as it was pretty bloody when I de-triped it. I took it home to see if it was going to live on its own, but then decided it was not going to make it and figured it was starting to suffer. So I quickly dispatched the animal, plucked it, and put it in the fridge. Then come Sunday, we made a meal of it, and was it good!. Very surprised on the tenderness and fatless meat. It was also a white meat which also surprised me. I don't like the hefty price of the turkey tag, but when it comes down in price to say 12 dollars per tag, then I will definitely buy one.
