Species Account:
On Saturday Oct. 27, 2018 I spotted a crow sitting on some elk horns in the sage brush off the West side of the North bound lane of interstate 84 1.05 miles from the Utah border. I returned Yesterday with a ladder to cross the fence and saw the whole elk. It appears that the Bull may have been hit by a vehicle on the interstate and jumped the fence and went into the brush about 50-60 yards and died. It still has quite a bit of the velvet on the horns. probably been there since July/ August The 4th 5th and 6th points are chewed off (coyotes) But I retrieved the horns and Ivorys. Attached are some Pics.
