Species Account:
I was told by the neighbor, that a yearling doe had just run into an electric fence around the stack yard and was dead. He said that he had made repairs to the fence, and the deer was still twitching, but definitely dead.
I went down and looked at the deer, fence, and tracks. Every looked as the neighbor had said. I contacted my local Conservation Officer, Jeremy Gatfield, and told him the situation and that I would like to salvage the meat.
