Species Account:
Tan in color with a brown neck and head. 4x5 bull elk. maybe 700 pounds. We were driving down highway 33 a little ways behind a truck when we saw it pull over suddenly. As we passed the vehicle we noticed that its front end was smashed in and that an elk lay dead on the other side of the road. We turned around and found that the kid driving the truck (tyler) was ok. He called the police to help him out and we took the elk. When we inspected the elk on the side of the road, all of its legs were broken as were its antlers. Brocken Hip and most of the the ribs on the right side of the body were broken.
