Species Account:
Light tan in color dark on the neck and head, year-long cow elk,lying dead on the shoulder of the roadway. I was headed down the canyon at about 1 a.m. August 18. Another driver was stopped and I stopped to see if they were okay and if they needed a ride because of hitting the animal. They said They were fine and the car was drivable. I proceeded on my way home.
