Species Account:
Color, typical 2 tone brown. Looks like a 2-3 year old more or less. Approximate 250- 275lbs. Behavior=dead. Identifiable by hide, head, tail, sex genitals ect. "Cow" This incident was reported to Matt Haag by a county snow plow truck driver. Location; River Lake dr. Clark Fork Id, 83811. Evidently a herd of elk was spooked when the plow truck was plowing down my street this morning, and this elk actually impaled itself on a property stake near the railroad boundary about 200 yards from my house. I saw it while snowblowing my driveway. As I was walking up to look at it, the plow truck driver drove by and told me what happened. I brought the cow home "whole" and she is hanging in my garage for a week or 2, Its the only way I will eat game animals. This is an extremely nice "Salvage" All scraps get feed to my dogs, nothing is wasted, Merry Christmas IDFG!
