Species Account:
Definitely a white-tail doe. Medium Brown in color; large, fat doe hit by vehicle on Highway 95 approximately 7 miles north of Ponderay, Idaho. Deer was still alive when we found her. Both of her back legs had been broken. Still laying in road when we first came across her. As we approached she drug herself off the highway with her front hooves. We followed her through the roadside ditch. We put her down and field dressed her. No internal damage so we salvaged the whole deer.
