Species Account:
This is NOT a road kill. Only reporting sighting this lone wolf on this page as I can't find anywhere else to report on this web site. Lone wolf spoted while hiking in foothills off Eagle Road on Sunday, November 12th. My German Shorthair Pointer flushed it south of the usual ridge trail, unpopulated area bushwhacking near the south boarder of this property. First thought was "what is a german shepard doing out here?" Almost all black. Never announced itself like coyotes do. Quiet. Never threatening. Stopped momentarly to look back just before running over the ridgeline. Accroding to Google Earth distance was 400-600 feet between us.
