Species Account:
The animal in question was about a 80lb +/- whitetail, yearling doe. It was a dark tan color with a large white tail. The animal darted from thick brush in front of my vehicle. The deer was struck with the left front( drivers side) bumper of my truck as it ran in front of me. The deer's rear left hindquarter was struck, causing the deer to rotate and land in the ditch. The deer attempted to move itself further from the roadway using only its front legs, dragging its hindquarters and back legs.
