Species Account:
While driving up highway 89 heading up towards the geneva summit , at approximately 7am, a mule deer doe appeared out of nowhere and jumped right in front of my vehicle . The whole encounter took a split second and I had no time to try to avoid the impact or hitting the wild animal. The mule deer doe was a greyish brown in color with white on tbe neck and face. I had multiple witnesses in my vehicle as well as the truck following me. We confirmed the animal was dead and not breathing on the side of the highway 89 from the impact. My vehicle was severely damaged in the front end from the impact..
