I would like to salvage this animal and agree to the terms of salvage:
90% of the hind quarters 100% front quarters 85%neck meat 95% back straps. There was to much internal damage to salvage the heart or liver.
I'm absolutely certain
The doe was full mature 2 inch thick fur about 200 lbs. The doe was dead several hours before I arrived on the scene. It was a very humbling experience, it always is. Two years past another doe was hit by a vehicle in the same spot. It took me 5 hours of careful work on the animal to salvage as much as I was able to from this doe. The pelvis was shattered and bloodshot inside the cavity of the animal so I did not attempt to harvest the heart nor liver. i am glad I was able to prevent the wasting of this animal.
