Species Account:
6-point, large brown mule deer buck. I was driving behind two vehicles on Idaho State Highway 32 between mile marker 14 and 15 heading toward Tetonia. I saw a large mule deer buck bounding in the field toward the road. A car with a family of tourists did not see the deer, and it impacted the drivers side of the vehicle. I pulled over to the side of road and removed the deer from the road. It quickly expired. Another bystander, Lars Magnusson, called Conservation Officer Charlie Anderson, whom gave me permission to salvage the deer.
