Species Account:
7/1/16 @ 1530. Tan and white adult female. The antelope we hit jumped up onto the road from a ditch directly after a first antelope. Two more were still down in the ditch, 4 total in the group (1 or 2 males and 2 or 3 females, we think). We were traveling 65 mph on ID 75 approx 10-15 miles south of the 4th of July Lake trailhead turnoff, between Obsidian and Smiley Creek, closer to Smiley. We braked as best we could and the first one got out of the SB lane but we hit the second as she paused to look at us. Our Nissan Pathfinder hit her and she went under both sets of wheels. We pulled off the road, quickly checked our car, and turned around to check her status and pull her off the road. She was dead. We pulled her out of the southbound lane into the grass on the roadside.
