Female elk was hit by an unknown vehicle and injured. While it was lying in the highway a second vehicle ran over the elk dragging it about 200 yards trapping it alive under the vehicle. The elk was put down with a single shot to the head.. Bonner County Sheriff incident # 15-20832.
