Species Account:
I birded while Morgan Ball photographed the northern form of Idaho Ground Squirrel. The site is a home on the cattle ranch from which we viewed 300 or more meters and heard within 100m. Surrounding habitat is a broad, grassy, undulating plain interspersed with pine forest. Photos taken of habitat and crossbills.
