Species Account:
Observed while returning home after conducting bat acoustic survey in the Montpelier Creek/Crow Creek drainages. Ran across the road approx 50yards ahead of vehicle(just within range of the headlights). Gait was atypical of wolverine, but appeared to be trying to maintain a low profile as it ran across the road. All other aspects (size, body shape/form, color) lead me to believe this was a wolverine.
