Busch and son spotted the animal while driving N at 1600-1700 hrs. Animal was loping along inside fenceline on W side of Hwy 28 heading north. Observers stopped their car; the animal stopped to look back at them, then resumed running N along fenceline.

Dense mountain sagebrush at Gilmore Summit (~7200 ft. elev.) and within fault block valley; dry conifer forest (Douglas-fir and lodgepole pine) at slightly higher elevation (~73 ft.) to west in the Lemhi Range.
