Mist net capture/release survey: 1 adult male, reproductive. Tissue sample taken for biopsy (Field ID no. 24Aug06-02-JLH).

Pothole area has a floating mat and hummocks; open water makes for very soft footing. Carex species are dominant vegetation. Water is filled with sediment from weekend mud bog activity. At initial recon, there was no 4x4 damage. Timber 12 and 15 m from pothole on north side. Overstory: Abla, Abgr, Pien, Syal, Thermopsis. Cows grazed most of vegetation, but not in pothole area. Portion of road damaged by 4x4 activity. Elevation 4181 ft. During survey, cloud cover 30%, temperatures ranging from 13 to 10 degrees C.
