Species Account:
Lots of minnows actively eating small BWO mayflies at the surface. No photo. Caught and released two; both were less than palm length, small mouth, slender, mostly silver body, forked tail, a long dark lateral line and orange/red smear just to rear of gill plate. Also observed but not caught all up and down the Little Wood River from Preacher Bridge to Bear Track Williams. Clear skies, air temp 65F, water temp 55.5F.
