I was out scouting for pronghorn south of Oakley, ID and north of Oakley Reservoir. Observed a flock of Pinyon Jays flying through a short Utah juniper drainage. The flock continued southwest, towards Trapper Creek

Habitat Description:
The surrounding habitat is a mosaic of native vegetation on the upper benches containing an overstory of low/black sagebrush and perennial grass understory. Wyoming big sagebrush overstory is located in some of the wider drainages and also contains a native understory of perennial grasses. The steeper drainages in the area contain Utah juniper with a mixed understory of perennial bunchgrasses and cheatgrass.
