Species Account:
Note: Female PEFA perched in a snag this side of the river, wailing. Male standing inside cavity at top of cliff, egg guarding? Recycling if so. Some ee-chupping and wailing between the 2 birds. Female joined male in nest for ~4 minutes, showing interest in the floor of the cavity. Eggs? Male left and female stood in the cavity alone for about an hour. Briefly settled down as if incubating, but only for 2 minutes. Once she left, I didn't see any PEFA near the nest for the remaining hour and twenty minutes I was there.
