Species Account:
Ericameria nauseosa, yellow rabbitbrush does not often grown along roadsides except along the north end of Lincoln Blvd, Idaho National Laboratory, Butte County, Idaho. This is an indication of the stability of this roadside vegetation due to its relative remoteness. In the second photo, a Great Basin rattlesnake at center lies among a stand of the native rhizomatous thickspike wheatgrass, Agropyron dasystachyum. The native forbs Astragalus lentiginosus var. salinus, Astragalus geyeri, and Machaeranthera canescens are common at this site. Data CC-BY-SA mattlavin on iNaturalist.
