Individual(s) Observed (seen)
Mostly Dark/black fur with some beige fringe on head/sides/base of tail. Seen at 320 yards from an elevated position of about 20 degrees angle. Initially ranged it as I thought it was a black bear but under 18 power magnification it was clearly a wolverine. It was steadily moving with a few brief pauses during entire observation that lasted about 2 minutes as it skirted the shore of a natural lake just south of Wahoo Pass/trail. It headed due west from the lake area until lost from sight. Animal was approximately 18 inches in height based on comparison of height of nearby vegetation. Was unaware IDFG had a reporting mechanism for this but ran across this page today and decided I should go ahead an submit a report since I assume wolverines are a bit scarce in the lower 48.

High confidence on date and time was right at 11 - 11:30 AM.
Just knowledge of animal via one other time I saw one in Alaska and all the nature documentaries I have watched over the years. I had a very clear view of the animal through high powered optics at a range a little over 300 yards
