For at least the past 12 years, I have observed Mountain Goats on Hwy 21 between Grandjean and Banner Summit. maybe 3 or 4 miles north of that Sawtooth Mt's scenic overlook on the east side of the highway. Sorry I don't have a mile post number. Something really needs to be done to warn motorists. These goats are on the roadway at least twice each day. They like to stand right in the middle of the highway and lick the pavement on their way down to get a drink out of the river. warning signs, flashing lights, etc. Something. Be a damn shame to have one get hit by some idiot not paying attention. I saw several out-of-staters approach the stopped traffic, not paying attention, and at an accesive speed nearly rear-ending folks stopped for the Goats.
