University of Idaho, College of Agriculture. Moscow, Idaho. Bulk of collecting for this report done in 1965. Station 4 and General Area; 13 August; on Verbascum thapsus.

“[…] open area on the southeast extension of Sunset Cone, approximately 300 yards west of the permanent disposal dump. It was located at the summit of a small south-facing knoll and was subjected to high wind velocities from the southwest. Shrubs usually associated with the older cinder cones are present. The soil and plant composition of this station are much the same as at station 3 except B. sagittata is not present and there are dense stands of E. condensatus with scattered plants of Oryzopsis hymenoides. Water from a constantly dripping faucet located just south of this station was a good attractant for many insects” (Horning and Barr 1970).
