Survey

Survey Site:
Road Creek 1
Survey Intensity:
fairly thorough

Population

EO Number:
33
EO ID:
1945
EO History:
unsure
Population Area:
200 sq ft.
More potential habitat to survey:
no
Suggestions for other areas to survey:
I covered much of this slope carefully on foot, and actually walked it twice (again in October); no other patches of individuals were found. Astragalus amblytropis, however, was not very robust this year, and surveys in future years might find additional plants or patches of plants on the south-facing slopes in this basin, much of which appeared to be suitable habitat.
Monitoring or research needs for this population:
Occasional visits.
Additional population comments:
Photos are associated with each waypoint and are a part of the Mountain Springs Allotment Rare Plant Survey Report.
GPS coordinates do not necessarily conform to population boundaries, but are tied directly to photopoints that may be useful for monitoring general habitat condition changes in the future.
