Stopped again on way back from Troy Mine to check Denton Slough; included numbers from Pack River Delta at Tressel Creek.
/H/m Eurasian X American hybrid drake; see notes:----Eurasian Wigeon ::: Lake PO-Denton Slough -- November 8, 2007 --/H/m Eurasian X American hybrid drake; see notes-- --The Eurasian X American Widgeon hybrid drake was interesting; basically a --dirty headed Eurasian with the pink extending from the chest onto the grey --sides. The other Eurasian drake was molting from eclipse into breeding --plumage; could be young-of-year. Neither of these birds were the same as --the very ¿clean¿ breeding plumaged pair (hen was hanging very close to the --drake; had classic features as well: warm, pale brown head, no black gape --mark on bill) I had there on Sunday. This means there are at least 4 --Eurasians in the Denton Slough area alone.
