Horning used white light. Reported species as "Crambus race between ruricolellus (Zeller) and plumbifimbrielius (Dyar)" (U70HOR01IDUS). Todd Stephanic, NPS, notes that "The genus Agriphila was not widely recognized until the mid 20th century. Consequently, most species were initially put in the closely related genus Crambus (Wikipedia 2014). Ruricolellus became ruricolella" (N17STE01IDUS).
