Species Account:
We observed the wolverine along the creek on June 5 at about 1 pm. The animal looked much larger than an adult raccoon so perhaps 2 to 2.5 feet. We watched it on a gravel bar but when it saw us it went into the tall grass. We came back with a camera to look for tracks but found only small ones. The tracks were not in the same area we saw the animal but downstream about 30 yards and on a mud bank. We are not sure the tracks belong to the animal because the animal looked larger than these tracks.
