Species Account:
We were headed south on Hwy 41 down Seasons hill at about 4:30 pm December 1st with a load of firewood when a 5 point Whitetail Buck entered the roadway, with the load and oncoming traffic we couldn't avoid the deer. The deer struck from the center of my hood and bumper across to the right side fender. It destroyed the grill and bumper of our truck and pushed the fender into the right front tire. I pulled over and beat the fender clear and went home and got my Dodge Dakota and went back to retrieve the Buck. When I got back to the place of impact there was a road crew pulled over cleaning up the grill debris and the deer. I told them what had happened and they helped me throw the deer into the bed of my rig.
