Species Account:
Mule deer doe. Appeared otherwise healthy and although they were not seen, her udder would indicate that she had a fawn/s of this year unfortunately.
Driving down a canal road after completing a corn field harvest and the deer jumped in from of the truck. Obviously broken right rear leg and upon field dressing it seemed that it died of internal bleeding and a broken back.
It was a fairly heavy animal, possibly as much as 200 pounds live weight. No other identifiable features to note.
