Abstract:

Polyphylla devestiva sp. nov. is herein designated and described on the basis of 53 male specimens, all of which were taken from populations in extreme southwestern Idaho. Elytral, pronotal, and pygidial vestiture, and conformation of the terminal segment of the maxillary palpi are considered as significant. Furthermore, lectotypes for P. fuscula Fall (= diffracta Casey) and P. crinita LeConte are designated and their location given.
