Predator-Prey Interactions

This very large and complex collaboration with the University of Idaho and University of Montana is designed to estimate the effects of predator harvest on other species in multi-prey/predator systems.

This umbrella project encompasses many of the other big game projects, including the white-tailed deer, moose, black bear, mountain lion, and wolf projects. We are using camera and GPS collar data from all of these species to evaluate the effect of changing the number of predators on prey populations and on other predator populations, with the goal of making our management actions more effective and efficient.
