Previous restoration efforts benefitting cutthroat trout recovery in Bear Lake have involved rotenone treatments to eliminate nonnative brook and rainbow trout. F&G Commission approves summer Chinook seasons to start June 18
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission met via conference call and approved the proposed summer Chinook salmon seasons for the South Fork Salmon and Upper Salmon rivers as well as the Lochsa River. The seasons are set to open Saturday, June 18.

Angler reports catching walleye below Swan Falls dam
On Thursday, June 9, an angler reported to Idaho Fish and Game that he had recently caught a walleye on the Snake River below Swan Falls Dam in Southwest Idaho. The angler provided photos, allowing fisheries biologists to confirm that it was a walleye.
